5 STAR READ!!! The Wonderful Story of Electricity by A.J. Neeson

The great scientific discoveries no doubt influence all of our lives each and everyday. But how many adults know the stories behind these discoveries or the underlying scientific principles at work? In this book, AJ Neeson shares the history of the central thing that makes our modern lifestyles possible, electricity. The Wonderful Story of Electricity takes parents and children on an amazing journey back to the time of the Vikings and the first magnets, across to Italy and the creation of the first battery and on to England where Michael Faraday's experiments culminated in the electric motor and the electric generator. AJ tells the story as it happened. His use of humour and rhyme encourages children and parents alike to laugh and learn. As readers will discover the story of electricity is a very peculiar and wondrous one indeed. The Wonderful Story of Electricity is a children's book, but it also aims to entertain and educate parents at the same time.

This is the first kids picture book I've reviewed.
I normally stick to my adult genres, but this books was so great that
I had to share with you guys!
We all know how important reading to your kids is, and if you're anything like me you're always
peddling books to your kidlets. Books foster their imaginations, fill up their word bank and improve their listening and comprehension skills.
So it's important to find books that you know will captivate them, and let's be honest, you as well since you're usually doing the reading.

The Wonderful Story of Electricity by A.J Neeson is one of those books!

I loved the originality, the rhythmic prose, and curious facts, which were as compelling for  me as they were for my 8yr old! This is a whimsical little read that lends itself to some fun rhyming,
a clever way to ensure your child is learning lots without even realizing it!
From vikings and magnets to dead frogs and batteries, you'll be thoroughly entertained by the
fun narrative and quirky illustrations.

A 5 star read that you and your smalls will thoroughly enjoy!

AJ's mission is to raise the science general knowledge standards of young adults. To do this, he thought he should get to this audience well before adulthood and re-craft the real life stories of science into entertaining, funny and above all factual story books for children and their parents.

AJ lives with his young family in the Sydney coastal suburb of Bronte. He is father to Massimo and Chloe and Husband to loving wife Laura. During the day, Antony works as Creative Director of his media and creative agency. Of an evening, he spends time with his family, and when they are all tucked up in bed, writes stories that entertain, engage and educate young children and their parents.
