5 STAR REVIEW ONE TO LOVE by TIA LOUISE

Tattoos, bad boys, love...
Boxing, fame, fortune…
Loss.
It’s the one thing Kenny and Slayde have in common. Until the night Fate throws them together and everything changes.
Their chemistry is undeniable, their love blazing hot, but is history destined to repeat itself?
It’s a story about fighting. It’s about falling in love. It’s about losing everything only to find it again in the least likely place. And it's about the one hit you never see coming.
A STAND-ALONE, ONE TO HOLD NOVEL. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

REVIEW
FACT No. 1 I love Fighters with big hearts – that mix of fierceness and gentility swoooon

Fact No, 2 I Love tortured alphas – broken & in need of fixing? Challenge accepted.

Fact No. 3.  I like em penniless but driven – Keep your fancy rich boys. There is nothing sexier than watching them evolve into the man they were destined to be.

Fact No. 4 Tia Louise has penned the KING of tortured, alpha, penniless but driven, big hearted fighters – “SANS  PAREIL”!

It’s no secret how much I LOVE this series! One to Hold (book 1) kept showing up in my newsfeed I knew I had to read it. I was grateful I did because Dereck instantly made it onto my (exclusive) list of book husbands; followed by the courtly & handsome Patrick from One to Keep.

These boys are all kinds of Alpha-hot and honestly I wasn't sure how Tia Louise was going to top them in 'One to Love'. Who would be the new boy on the block? How could he possibly compare or measure up to my boys? ...Ahh but Alas, me of little faith! Not only does Slayde measure up, but dare I say, he may just be the finest man in the 'One to hold' series … so far!

Kenny is still trying to pick up the emotional debris left over from the tragic loss of her first love. She is alone and yearns for love, but cannot bring herself to let go of the past and risk betraying the memory of Blake. Enter Slayde. He too is tired from carrying the heaviness of his past. He has abandoned his career as an underground fighter, and finds himself almost destitute and desperately in need of a break. Fate intervenes, and  inevitably the two meet and there is an immediate soul connection. But little do either of them know just how entangled  their lives actually are.

"I told myself I didn’t need love. I didn't deserve it. I was resigned not to look for it. Then out of nowhere you appeared. You needed me,and I helped you. The thing that ended my life, my ability to fight saved yours. You gave my worthless life meaning and when you looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes… I might as well have carved out my heart and handed it to you. You owned me from that moment forward”

As the story unraveled and the pieces fell into place my heart broke for them; for the cards that life had dealt them and the adversity  they've had to endure.

This is by far my favorite of the series so far. Slayde, even with all his male virility, made me want to hold his head to my bosom and sing him a lullaby. I felt his pain, his shame and his love for Kenny so acutely it was almost overwhelming. Tia’s writing is poetic and lyrical. This is a gorgeously moving and enduring story that reminds us that beauty can indeed rise from pain.

About the author

Tia Louise is a former journalist, world-traveler, and collector of beautiful men (who inspire all of her stories... wink)—turned wife, mommy, and novelist.

She lives in the center of the U.S.A. with her lovely family and one grumpy cat. There, she dreams up stories she hopes are engaging, hot, and sexy, and that cause readers rethink common public locations…

It’s possible she has a slight truffle addiction.
